This post will cover the Operation Awakening Pacific Crest Trail resupply checkpoints. The resupply points listed are black top roads. Many people who live in Washington, Oregon and California have asked, “how can I help you while your on the PCT”? Glad you all asked..
Below are the blacktop check points that I will cross as I head south. The timing of my crossing will be somewhat of a moving target. I expect to be making 20 miles a day. If you look at OPOPRD BRAVO I listed all of my main resupply points. These are resupply points that are available to me along the PCT. Most of these resupply points are deep on the trail and are just USPS drop off points. These are the resupply points I will do mail drops for through-hikers to pick up supply. So if you want to meet me to help with resupply, ACCESS TO shower, home cooking, laundry, OR making chit chat, crack a beer and listen to me bitch about my aches and pains, take a look at the resupply check points highlighted in BOLD RED. To see the resupply black top points scroll all the way to the bottom of this post.
OPA LONG PATROL – TRACKED IN REAL TIME
In 2012 I rode my bicycle across country for the same cause. During my ride I used a real time tracking device called a SPOT Tracker. This device allowed everyone to follow me as I rode across this great nation. For 3000 miles you always knew where I was within 50 ft of my last ping. During my hike I will using the same device. This is what the device looks like.
Once I begin the hike you’ll be able to log into my website and find the link (landing page) that says TRACK THE PATROL. You’ll click on that link and it’ll take you to my SPOT tracking page with the live Google map. This is what it will look like.
